Soccer Recap: Mendocino Falls to Point Arena in First Game of Season

Mendocino unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Point Arena Pirates on Wednesday, falling 6-1. If Mendocino were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Point Arena when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coincidentally, Mendocino and Point Arena will both be playing South Fork the next time they take the pitch. The Cardinals will head out to face the Cubs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on September 2.
