            Football Recap: Presbyterian Christian Bobcats vs. West Marion Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Presbyterian Christian entered their  game against West Marion  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bobcats took  a  33-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the  36-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in August of 2018.
 Presbyterian Christian lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Reed Bridges, who picked up 189 receiving yards and two  scores. Another player making a difference was  Smith Stringer, who threw for 245 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.
 It was another big night for  Braxton Albritton, who threw for 200 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also rushed for 40 yards and one  score for West Marion. Albritton's passing game has become a key predictor of the Trojans' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
Presbyterian Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for West Marion, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Presbyterian Christian will head out to  take on St. Stanislaus  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Rock-a-Chaws' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.13  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Marion, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Pass Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 14.8  points per game  this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
