Baseball Recap: Prince Avenue Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Troup County

There's no place like home for Prince Avenue Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Troup County Tigers on Friday.

Judson Hartwell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Cole Broxton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Hartwell wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Hill, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Prince Avenue Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. Troup County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.
