Pleasant Grove scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Lincoln Trojans. Even though they lost, the Eagles' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.8 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Pleasant Grove lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kate Myers, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anniyah Banks, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Baquiran, who went 9-for-20 en route to 22 points and eight boards. Those 22 points gave Baquiran a new career-high. Terrazia Smith was another key player, shooting 43% from the field to rack up 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Pleasant Grove is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-52 defeat against Woodcreek on the 5th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-69 victory against Davis Sr. on the 5th.
