Pleasant Grove scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Lincoln Trojans. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Baquiran, who went 9-for-20 en route to 22 points and eight boards. Those 22 points gave Baquiran a new career-high. Terrazia Smith was another key player, shooting 43% from the field to rack up 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Pleasant Grove is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-52 defeat against Woodcreek on the 5th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-69 victory against Davis Sr. on the 5th.
