Softball Recap: Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Takes a Loss

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley NIGHTHAWKS. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the NIGHTHAWKS apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Gehlen Catholic on the 20th. As for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Sibley-Ocheyedan on the 20th.
