Baseball Game Preview: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Oglethorpe County Patriots

For the second straight game, Rabun County will face off against Oglethorpe County. The Wildcats will host the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rabun County has six straight victories, Oglethorpe County has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Rabun County and Oglethorpe County had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 13-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Rabun County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-9. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Oglethorpe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-20.
