Softball Recap: Eugene Comes Up Short

Eugene couldn't beat Russellville on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Indians by a score of 10-9. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Eugene now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Russellville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eugene will face off against Fayette at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Russellville, they will head out to square off against Osage at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
