Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastern can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Xavier Tigers by a score of 5-4 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 16-20. As for St. Xavier, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-11.

Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Xavier, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Trinity at 8:00 p.m.
