Soccer Recap: St. Anthony Victorious

St. Anthony won the last time they faced St. Mary's Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The St. Anthony Saints sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the St. Mary's Academy Belles. Tatiana Callejas had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Saints.

St. Anthony pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Anthony and St. Mary's Academy will both be playing Bishop Montgomery the next time they take the pitch. St. Mary's Academy will head out to face Bishop Montgomery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Anthony will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
