North Cobb entered their tilt with Brentwood Academy on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.

Mia Goldbach paced North Cobb's offense, picking up 14 kills. Goldbach got some help from Bella Myers and her 13 assists.

Despite the loss, Brentwood Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Harper Broyles had 21 digs and four assists. Broyles has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

North Cobb's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Brentwood Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.

North Cobb and Brentwood Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Warriors (ranked 16th) will meet Wheeler (ranked 178th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brentwood Academy will face off against Ensworth at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (25 vs. 170).
