Softball Game Preview: Stonewall Longhorns vs. Tupelo Tigers

Stonewall has gone 6-1 against Tupelo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Longhorns will head out to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Stonewall came up short against Turner and fell 8-3. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tupelo fell victim to Byng and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Pirates. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tupelo's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Stonewall, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Stonewall was able to grind out a solid victory over Tupelo in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
