La Cueva has gone a perfect 10-0 against Manzano recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bears will welcome the Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

La Cueva is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Los Lunas, who was ranked 14th at the time (La Cueva was ranked second). The Bears put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on five straight.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Manzano got the win against Capital on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0. The Monarchs haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Manzano was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-18.

La Cueva's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Manzano, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

La Cueva took their victory against Manzano when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
