Basketball Recap: Tussey Mountain Takes a Loss

Tussey Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Curwensville Golden Tide.

Curwensville was led to victory by Evan McCartney and Tuck Tkacik. McCartney posted ten points, while Tkacik had six points and five boards. Tkacik also put up two steals, which were his first of the season.

Tussey Mountain's record is now 0-3. As for Curwensville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Tussey Mountain will take on McConnellsburg in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Curwensville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Purchase Line at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
