Basketball Recap: Westminster Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westminster). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Avalon Lancers 67-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Westminster's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Westminster will be playing in front of their home fans against Savanna at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avalon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-11 defeat against Geffen Academy on the 7th.
