Football Game Preview: Edina Hornets vs. Farmington Tigers + Official Tickets

The Edina Hornets will take on the Farmington Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edina has given up an average of 29.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Edina is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Moorhead on Wednesday. The Hornets fell 51-44 to the Spuds.

Edina's loss came about despite a quality game from Mason West, who threw for 289 yards and two TDs while completing 79.3% of his passes.

Even if they lost, Edina's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In that department, Tucker Smith was the leader with two. Alex Wenngatz was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Farmington ended up a good deal behind Prior Lake on Wednesday and lost 29-15.

Farmington has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Edina, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
