Softball Recap: Dunwoody Finds Home Field Redemption Against Southwest Dekalb

There's no place like home for Dunwoody, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Southwest DeKalb Panthers 5-4 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Alyssa Rosenkoff looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Allie Sleep was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooke Parkes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The win got Dunwoody back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunwoody will square off against North Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
