Hodgeman County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ian Reece out in front who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores, and also caught one touchdown. Tyson Younger did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 101 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Victoria faced Central Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 36-22. Victoria's win was all the more impressive since the Cougars were averaging only 5.82 points allowed on the season.

Hodgeman County's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Victoria, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Things could have been worse for Hodgeman County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Victoria in their previous matchup back in October. Can the Longhorns avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
