Newnan came tearing into Thursday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Collins Hill Eagles. Considering the Cougars have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Newnan's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Collins Hill, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newnan will square off against Morrow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Collins Hill, they will face off against Redan at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
