With a playoff win on the line, Monroe Area rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Jefferson Dragons by a score of 9-6. Winning may never get old, but the Purple Hurricanes sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Monroe Area's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 25-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Monroe Area beat the Dragons by a score of 12-9 later that day.
