Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Vikings vs. Decatur Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Lakeside will face off against Decatur. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Bulldogs at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Lakeside after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Decatur by a score of 7-6.

Jayden Mosley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Rory Lichtman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The win was the eighth in a row for Decatur, bringing their record up to 13-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9-1.
