Recap: Marshall Barristers vs. San Marino Titans
The Marshall Barristers were the 39-38 winner over the San Marino Titans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Marshall fell to San Marino 57-51.
Despite the loss, Marshall still got an impressive performance from Jeda Taylor, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and seven blocks. Taylor is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Giselly Gaona, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Marshall has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for San Marino, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Marshall's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for San Marino, they will head out on the road to face off against La Canada at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully La Canada focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
