Volleyball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Victory Baptist Academy

Pipestem Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Victory Baptist Academy Saints, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Pipestem Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Victory Baptist Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.

The win (which was Victory Baptist Academy's seventh in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Pipestem Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Morgantown Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 19. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Summit Christian Academy on the 26th.
