Softball Recap: Jeff Davis Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Jeff Davis and Bacon County meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-5 loss on Thursday.

Jeff Davis dropped their record down to 17-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Bacon County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-3.

Jeff Davis has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 defeat against South Effingham on the 27th. As for Bacon County, they will square off against Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
