Everything went their way against the Sierra Stallions on Thursday as they made off with a 22-4 victory. Considering the Titans have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Basil Murphy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
The Classical Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sierra only posted an OBP of .333.
