Washington County is a perfect 10-0 against Southwest since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Hawks will host the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Washington County has nine straight victories, Southwest has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Washington County made easy work of East Laurens and carried off a 9-2 win. The Golden Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Southwest played against Academy for Classical Education on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Washington County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Everything went Washington County's way against Southwest in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, as Washington County made off with a 22-4 victory. Do the Golden Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
