Basketball Recap: Immaculate Heart Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Immaculate Heart had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the El Rancho Dons by a score of 42-35 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pandas.

El Rancho's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Gonzalez and Emery Riker. Gonzalez shot 43% from the field on her way to 16 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Riker posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and three blocks. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Immaculate Heart's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for El Rancho, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-13.

Immaculate Heart has already played their next matchup (against Costa Mesa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. El Rancho does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
