Baseball Recap: Arcola Comes Up Short

Arcola and Neoga squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Arcola had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Purple Riders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Arcola's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11. As for Neoga, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Arcola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neoga, they will square off against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
