Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Acalanes). They beat the Maria Carrillo Pumas by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Dons were the better team in the second half.

Alex Salazar and Danica Green scored both of Acalanes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Acalanes' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-1-2. As for Maria Carrillo, they now have a losing record at 1-2-1.

Acalanes will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Maria Carrillo has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Vintage on the 13th.
