Softball Recap: Mexico Has No Trouble Against Fulton

Mexico had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Fulton on Thursday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 10-4 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaitlyn Krietemeyer looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Hannah Loyd was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run. Landri Teel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Mexico's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fulton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Mexico will venture away from home to square off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fulton, they will host Father Tolton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
