Football Game Preview: Rowlett Eagles vs. Longview Lobos

Two dominant signal callers in Samuel Loera and JOHNNY HAMILTON are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rowlett Eagles will host the Longview Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 921 yards in their previous games.

Rowlett will bounce into Friday's game after beating Sachse, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 42-33 victory over the Mustangs on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Rowlett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelin Cottrell led the charge by rushing for 64 yards and two TDs. Rhyan Hamilton also helped out as he racked up 101 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Longview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Royse City, posting a 52-24 win. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won four contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in HAMILTON and Jamion Richardson. HAMILTON had a great game on Friday and threw for 228 yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Richardson was balling out in the loss, throwing for 269 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards.

Rowlett's record is now 6-4. As for Longview, their record now sits at an identical 6-4.
