Softball Recap: Millard South Comes Up Short

Millard South lost against Omaha Westside back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Millard South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Brower, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Millard South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Omaha Westside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Millard South will be taking part in a tournament against Bellevue West at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Omaha Westside, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-4 loss against Gretna East on the 29th.
