Baseball Game Preview: Rutland Hurricanes vs. Southwest Patriots

Rutland is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Southwest a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Rutland Hurricanes will host the Southwest Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Rutland has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rutland fell victim to Crawford County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Hurricanes have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Southwest came up short against Jefferson County on Tuesday and fell 7-4.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.
