Softball Recap: Notre Dame De Sion Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lincoln College Prep

There's no place like home for Notre Dame de Sion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers 15-5 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Storm brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Scarlett Lind spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits.

On the hitting side, Addisyn Zachary and Lucy Gromowsky did most of the damage at the plate: Zachary went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Gromowsky went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Grace Baggott was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Notre Dame de Sion's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lincoln College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Notre Dame de Sion will take on Bishop LeBlond at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln College Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
