Freedom Christian Academy will be up against a hot Riverside Christian Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to seven. Riverside Christian Academy never let Village Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory two weeks ago.
Riverside Christian Academy let Everlie Walker and Emalee Leatherwood run wild. Walker scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Leatherwood scored three runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelly Pham, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Riverside Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Village Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, Freedom Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Liberty Christian Academy. Fans of the Patriots have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
KK Swinson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Swinson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Melanie Multerer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-3. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Abby Dey also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Freedom Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their record is now 2-0.
Riverside Christian Academy suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Freedom Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Riverside Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
