Football Recap: Crest Takes a Loss

Crest played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 75-30 loss at the hands of the Reno County HomeSchool Sabres. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Lane Yocham threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns. Kole Walter was his top target, picking up 197 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Crest is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Reno County HomeSchool, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crest will head out to square off against Centre on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Reno County HomeSchool, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
