Eaton has won three straight games at home, while University has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Reds will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Eaton's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Fort Lupton 17-0.

Johanna Galvan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Emma Anderson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Minne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Eaton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, University made easy work of Weld Central on Tuesday and carried off a 16-6 victory.
Like Eaton, University also got a great game from a two-way player: Jasi Cole. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Cole has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kamzee Kern, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Kendall Dietz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Eaton's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eaton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .389. However, it's not like University struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eaton skirted past University 8-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Reds repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
