Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mountain Pointe had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tolleson Wolverines on Saturday.

Mountain Pointe not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Tolleson between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.

Isabella Meagher paced Mountain Pointe's offense, picking up seven kills. Meagher got some help from Amirah Rankin and her 12 assists. Meagher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mountain Pointe's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Tolleson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Mountain Pointe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Higley on the 4th. As for Tolleson, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
