Westmont is 5-0 against Independence since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Westmont Warriors will look to defend their home pitch against the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. Westmont will be strutting in after a win while Independence will be coming in after a loss.

Westmont is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They skirted past Lincoln 3-2.

Westmont hit Lincoln with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaivalya Gajula, Lujyne Shalaby, and Evelyn Santos.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to Prospect. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the 76ers it sure didn't stay that way.

Westmont's win bumped their record up to 4-10-1. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Westmont's way against Independence in their previous matchup back in January, as Westmont made off with an 8-1 victory. Does Westmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Independence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
