St. Joseph Academy piles up the points against Classical Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop's, the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 49-17 victory over Classical Academy. With St. Joseph Academy ahead 36-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

St. Joseph Academy found their leader in underclassman Pamela Torres, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Torres has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luciana Aguilar, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.

St. Joseph Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12. As for Classical Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to square off against La Jolla Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Francis Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Francis Parker presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Classical Academy in California (Francis Parker is ranked 99th, while Classical Academy is ranked 941st).
