Wilber-Clatonia hasn't had much luck against Milford recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wolverines will challenge the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Wilber-Clatonia will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Wilber-Clatonia is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Fairbury by a score of 17-12 on Thursday.
Gabby Vlcan was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Vlcan was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kariss Rosenthal, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Mischnick, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Wilber-Clatonia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 14-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Milford's offense. They fell 5-0 to Blue River on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Milford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maeli Kubicek, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
Wilber-Clatonia's record now sits at 15-11. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.
Wilber-Clatonia couldn't quite finish off Milford when the teams last played last Saturday and fell 7-5. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
