Basketball Recap: Farrell Comes Up Short

Farrell lost against Kennedy Catholic back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Farrell Steelers were outmatched by Kennedy Catholic and fell 60-24.

Kennedy Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layke Fields, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 boards. That's the most boards Fields has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Pfleger, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 19 points and six assists.

Kennedy Catholic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farrell will head out to challenge West Middlesex at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
