Seminole extended their postseason success on Saturday against DeSoto County. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but the Warhawks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Seminole had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-14, 15-10.

Seminole's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lara Stefanovic, who had 19 kills, 15 digs, and two aces. Stefanovic has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last 11 times she's played. Taylor Leide was another key player, getting 24 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Seminole was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DeSoto County only served five.

Seminole's record is now 17-9. As for DeSoto County, they moved to 17-12 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Seminole will square off against Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. DeSoto County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
