Baseball Recap: Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Patriots vs. Burke County Bears

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Burke County on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Burke County Bears by a score of 4-3.

Tyler Crapps was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Crapps was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Burke County, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Georgia School for Innovation & Classics will square off against Westside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burke County, they will challenge Aquinas at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Aquinas will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Burke County surely won't give up without a fight.
