Basketball Recap: Tara Terrones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lompoc over San Luis Obispo

Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 50-37 to the San Luis Obispo Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-26 back in January.

Lompoc's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tara Terrones, who posted 11 points and three steals. Grace Baird was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Lompoc smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Lompoc's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for San Luis Obispo, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 25-4.

As of now, neither Lompoc nor San Luis Obispo have any future games scheduled.
