Softball Recap: Murray County Comes Up Short

Murray County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Dade County Wolverines by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 12-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The win (which was Dade County's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Murray County will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Cartersville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Dade County, they will take on Dalton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
