Softball Recap: Eagle Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eagle Valley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Meeker Cowboys as they made off with a 17-4 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Devils have posted against the Cowboys since October 1, 2019.

Lily Brueck was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Brueck, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eagle Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.9 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.

Eagle Valley's record now sits at 7-12-1. As for Meeker, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eagle Valley beat the Cowboys by a score of 16-7 later that day.
