Football Game Preview: Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders vs. West Point-Beemer Cadets

The Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders will face off against the West Point-Beemer Cadets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Grand Island Central Catholic 6.3, West Point-Beemer 14.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Grand Island Central Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Haney out in front who picked up 162 receiving yards and three scores. Those 162 receiving yards gave Haney a new career-high. Jack Alberts also helped with two TDs in total.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Grand Island Central Catholic's defense and their 3.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Owen Price, Graham Stava, and Brandon Cloud, who each picked up one sack apiece. Price was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

West Point-Beemer played against Oakland-Craig on Friday and won via forfeit.
