Hampton hasn't had much luck against Ola recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. Hampton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Ola likes a good challenge.
If Hampton beats Ola with 35 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Hornets took down Eagle's Landing 35-21 last Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Hampton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tristan Parks, who threw for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 passes, and Aiden Louis, who rushed for 74 yards and one TD on only eight carries. What's more, Parks racked up 151.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 3rd. Their defense stepped up to hand Woodland a 63-0 shutout last Friday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 33 points or more this season.
Ola's win came from a few key players Hampton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caden Waye, who rushed for 43 yards and three scores, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Timothy Clark, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ola was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Ola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Kaden Driscoll led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself. Michael Knight got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hampton's record is now 6-2. As for Ola, their record now sits at an identical 6-2.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Louis and Waye. Louis just won't slow down this season and has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 81.1 rushing yards per game. Waye has been a dominant force too and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 105.5 rushing yards per game.
Hampton was taken down by Ola 42-10 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
