Basketball Recap: Rock Academy Takes a Loss

Rock Academy lost against Kearny back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rock Academy Warriors took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kearny Komets.

Despite the loss, Rock Academy still got an impressive performance from Nevaeha Noguera, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Noguera a new career-high.

Samarah Estrada was her usual excellent self, putting up 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals for Kearny. Another player making a difference was Emmalynn Grisham, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Rock Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Kearny, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

As of now, neither Rock Academy nor Kearny have any future games scheduled.
