Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

Monte Vista played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Canyon Hills Rattlers , falling 60-30. The Monarchs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Anayla Saulo had an outrageously good game for Canyon Hills as she went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. Kiana Shakespeare was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Monte Vista has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Canyon Hills, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Monte Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-9 loss against West Hills on the 14th. Canyon Hills has also already played their next game, a 48-6 win against Clairemont on the 10th.
